About Us

Welcome to the only daily LGBTQ news program on the radio in the United States.

The Gaily Show

In an era of lies and political manipulation, our mission is to be on the radio Monday through Friday to broadcast facts, information, analysis, and community connections for the queer community. We cover local and national politics, the economy, court cases, healthcare, books, films, theatre, you get the idea!

We approach our stories with verifiable facts first and then provide Progressive perspectives and analysis.

And we don't just report specifically on LGBTQ stories. We report on the issues that deeply affect queer life. When Trump invaded Minnesota with three thousand ICE and Federal Border Patrol agents, that was a queer news story. When the Minnesota Secretary of State said he directed his office to plan for Trump interference in the 2026 election, that was a queer news story. When Trump tanked the economy with tariffs, that was a queer news story.

Originally, The Gaily Show premiered in December 2023 as a weekly LGBTQ culture and entertainment. A co-production with AM950 Radio (KTNF Minneapolis/St. Paul) it aired every Saturday afternoon.

But in January 2025, AM950 Radio promoted The Gaily Show to a daily one-hour news program. Airing from 2pm-3pm CST, it was -- and still is -- the only daily LGBTQ news program on the radio in the country.

In April 2025, The Gaily Show was picked up by WCPT 820 (Chicago). In 2026, three new stations picked up the show. On daily basis: 92.7 FM WMDX in Madison, WI. On a weekly basis: Seattle's 1150 KKNW and Amherst, MA's NewsTalk WHMP started airing the show weekly on Saturdays.

Since the beginning, we've partnered with AM950 Radio (now part of Heartland Signal) to co-produce The Gaily Show. They provide all of the technical logistics while we create the programming, book the guests, and write the journalism. We work closely together to secure advertising and to uplift LGBTQ and progressive nonprofits, organizations, and businesses. We also work closely to provide breaking news coverage for AM950 Radio and to support special programming (such as election night broadcasts!).

That being said, it is important to note that we are editorially independent from Heartland Signal and our views are our own. Opinion or news coverage on other programming does not necessarily reflect our own editorial viewpoints and our journalistic choices. Heartland Signal has no control over the editorial of The Gaily Show.
